Lindsay Davenport surged into the semifinals of The Cellular South Cup on Thursday with a 6-0, 6-2 win over Caroline Wozniacki.
The fourth seeded American needed just 53 minutes to send the No. 6 seed from Denmark crashing out of the $175,000 event in Memphis.
Davenport will face qualifier Marina Erakovic on Friday. The New Zealander secured her place in the last four with a 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 win over Alla Kudryavtseva of Russia.
In other action, the third seeded Shahar Peer was made to be battle almost two hours by the No. 7 seed Sofia Arvidsson before prevailing 3-6, 6-1, 6-3.
The going was somewhat easier for the No. 5 seed Olga Govortsova who swept to a 7-6 (5), 6-2 win over wildcard entrant Julia Goerges of Germany.
Govortsova will face Peer in the first semifinal on Friday.
